The University of Bristol invites applications for the role of Core Facilities Technician (Teaching and Research) in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience. You will provide technical support, training and specialist advice to staff and students relating to software, experimental equipment and laboratory safety.

You will deliver software and hardware workshops for UG and PGT students and provide day-to-day technical support for teaching and research activities, ensuring compliance with Health

Formación

• Relevant technical skills or work experience in psychology/neuroscience.
• Understanding of psychology teaching and research lab environments.
• Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Experience with research software and laboratory technologies.
• Ability to structure and deliver curriculum support sessions.
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines in psychology/neuroscience.

Responsabilidades

• Review student and staff risk assessments and SOPs to ensure safety.
• Support safe running of psychology labs across facilities.
• Develop, program and use specialised equipment, software and processes.
• Deliver workshops, troubleshooting sessions and inductions for students.
• Support widening participation, community engagement and research events.
• Maintain equipment bookings and maintenance records.
• Provide IT/AV queries support for staff and students.
• Induct staff and students into specialised spaces.
