Job summary

The Berkeley Scott Group is seeking a School Cook Manager to join the catering team at St Thomas of Canterbury in Guildford. The role is Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 3.00pm, 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, term-time with INSET days, and a salary of £25,000 per annum with on-site parking.

You will lead a small team of four, plan, prepare and serve fresh, nutritious meals for pupils and staff, and maintain high food hygiene standards while managing ordering and stock and working closely with

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a school or education catering environment is essential.
• Previous experience as a Cook, Chef or Catering Manager.
• Confident leading and supporting a small team.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen health & safety.
• Passionate about producing good-quality, nutritious food.
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working in a busy school environment.
