Job summary

The Berkeley Scott Group is seeking a Cook Manager for a school catering service in Guildford. You will lead a small team to run the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring fresh, nutritious meals are prepared to a high standard

Working Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3:00pm, 35 hours per week over 39 weeks per year, with school holidays off. This role offers a stable daytime schedule and free parking on site.

The role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the school kitchen, leading a small team and ensuring fresh, nutritious meals are prepared and served to a high standard.

Essential requirements

• Previous school / education catering experience is essential
• Enhanced DBS is essential
• Previous kitchen management or supervisory experience
• Strong food safety and allergen knowledge
• Confident with ordering, stock control and kitchen administration
• Reliable, organised and able to lead a small team
