Job summary

You will prepare delicious, nutritious meals for residents, plan menus, and lead the catering team, while ensuring food safety and high standards of cleanliness.

Location: Townend, Presteigne LD8 2DE

Salary: £15.17 per hour

Working Hours: 3.75 hour contract

Shift Times: 07:00-14:30 (working 1 weekend per month)

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Preparing, cooking and serving fresh, high‑quality meals for residents.
• Planning varied, nutritious menus that cater for dietary, cultural and individual preferences.
• Supporting celebrations, themed events and special occasions with delicious catering.
• Ordering stock within budget and company guidelines using approved suppliers.
• Maintaining accurate food safety records in line with HACCP requirements.
• Ensuring the kitchen consistently meets high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, following all procedures.
• Leading, motivating and supporting members of the catering team.
