Job summary

Agincare's Nightingale care home in Nottingham is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team. You will craft meals, manage dietary needs, and contribute to themed dining experiences, ensuring quality, hygiene and presentation meet our high standards.

Role involves two 8-hour shifts weekly (7:00am-3:00pm) on a rolling two-week rota; weekend work alternates with weekdays. We offer career development, fully funded training to QCF level 5, and a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Experience in a professional kitchen and understanding of kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or ability to support complex dietary requirements is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create menus daily and support the smooth running of the kitchen.
• Ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work

About the role:

Whether it's crafting delicious meals that meet individual dietary needs, creating themed dining experiences that bring the home to life, or simply serving a favourite dish that reminds someone of home, you'll be making a real difference every day. Using your culinary skills and food knowledge, you'll help create daily menus, support the organisation and smooth running of the kitchen, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation are maintained at all times.

Working hours:

This role entails two 8-hour shifts per week working from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm on a two-week rolling rota as follows:

• Week 1: Saturday and Sunday
• Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday
