Job summary

Agincare Group's Nightingale care home in Derby seeks a keen cook with heart, creativity and a passion for making people smile. Two 8-hour shifts weekly, 7:00–15:00 on a two-week rotating rota (Sat/Sun Week 1, Wed/Thu Week 2). You’ll craft meals that meet dietary needs, plan menus and ensure top standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation.

We offer fully funded training up to QCF level 5, a Refer a friend scheme, Blue Light discount package, company pension and on demand pay.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work.
  • Experience in a professional kitchen and an understanding of kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or experience supporting complex dietary requirements is desirable.

What’s on the menu for you:
  • £13.30 per hour
  • Refer a friend scheme earn up to £1000
  • No evening shifts and every other weekend off

What is required from you?
  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work

  • This role is two 8 hour shifts per week working from 7.00am - 3.00pm on a two week rolling rota as follows:
  • Week 1: Saturday and Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday

Using your culinary skills and food knowledge, you’ll help create daily menus, support the organisation and smooth running of the kitchen, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation are maintained at all times.
