Job summary

Proactive Staff seeks an experienced cook/chef for a café role with an immediate start and potential for permanent progression. You’ll prepare simple, high-quality breakfasts, toasties, sandwiches and pastries, plus hot drinks, supporting smooth kitchen operations and a positive customer experience.

The role emphasizes following food safety standards, punctuality and teamwork, with additional training provided and a friendly working environment. Weekend overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or café experience is essential.
• Basic food prep skills and an interest in food.
• Punctual, trustworthy, and hardworking.
• Able to follow food safety and hygiene procedures.

Our client is seeking an experienced cook / chef to work within their café. This is a great opportunity with an immediate start, and for the right person, will lead to a permanent position with future development opportunities.

Role Overview

As a key part of the café team, you'll be responsible for preparing a simple, high-quality menu including breakfasts, toasties, sandwiches, and pastries. Preparing hot food, and hot and cold beverages. You will support the smooth running of the kitchen and help deliver a positive customer experience.
