Job summary

Agincare is seeking a chef to join a professional kitchen within a care home in Fareham. The role focuses on crafting meals that meet residents’ dietary needs, offering themed dining experiences and high-quality service.

You will contribute to menu planning, kitchen efficiency and overall food quality while upholding hygiene standards. The position is a bank/zero-hour contract with day shifts and every other weekend off, offering funded training up to QCF level 5 and growth opportunities within

Qualifications

• 12 months right to work
• Experience in a professional kitchen and an understanding of kitchen operations
• Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or experience supporting complex dietary requirements (desirable)
• Available to work day shifts and alternate weekends

Responsibilities

• Craft delicious meals meeting individual dietary needs and create themed dining experiences
• Serve dishes and ensure high quality, hygienic presentation
• Create daily menus and support smooth kitchen operations
• Maintain highest standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
• Experience in a professional kitchen and an understanding of kitchen operations
• Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or experience supporting complex dietary requirements (desirable)
• Available to work day shifts and alternate weekends
• Please note this is currently a bank / zero hour contract

About The Role

Whether it’s crafting delicious meals that meet individual dietary needs, creating themed dining experiences that bring the home to life, or simply serving a favourite dish that reminds someone of home, you’ll be making a real difference every day.

Using your culinary skills and food knowledge, you’ll help create daily menus, support the organisation and smooth running of the kitchen, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation are maintained at all times.
