Job summary

Bob & Berts Bury is seeking an experienced cook for daytime, part-time hours including weekends. You will prepare breakfast and lunch using local ingredients and contribute ideas to seasonal menus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef or cook in a café, bistro or other fast-paced kitchen.
• Confidence preparing quality food quickly, cleanly and consistently.
• Good organisation, communication and teamwork.
• An understanding of food hygiene and allergens; a Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh breakfast and lunch dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Help shape seasonal menus using fresh, local ingredients.
• Keep service organised, efficient and calm during busy periods.
• Monitor stock, support ordering and reduce food waste.
• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and allergen standards.
• Work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver a smooth, friendly customer experience.
