Job summary

Bob & Berts in Bury is seeking an experienced chef or cook for daytime, part-time hours including weekends and early mornings. You will join a friendly cafe team, cook fresh breakfast and lunch, and have a say in seasonal menus.

You’ll work in a practical, hands-on role, value reliability and calm efficiency, and help keep the kitchen organised while delivering great food and a welcoming customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef or cook in a café, bistro or fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to prepare quality food quickly, cleanly and consistently.
• Good organisation, communication and teamwork.
• Understanding of food hygiene and allergens; Food Hygiene Certificate preferred.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard.
• Help shape seasonal menus using fresh, local ingredients.
• Keep service organised, efficient and calm during busy periods.
• Monitor stock, support ordering and reduce food waste.
