Job summary

Sodexo in Bulford, Wiltshire, is seeking an experienced Cook for a full-time role. You will join a professional catering team, preparing fresh, high-quality meals for military personnel on a 40-hour contract.

You will follow food safety standards, work with a friendly team, and contribute to a reliable catering service each day. Previous kitchen experience and culinary qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook or Chef within a catering, hospitality, or food service environment
• Culinary experience and a genuine passion for preparing good-quality food
• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery are desirable
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
• The ability to work efficiently as part of a busy kitchen team while maintaining high standards
• A positive attitude, good attention to detail and pride in your work
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve fresh, high-quality meals within a busy kitchen environment
• Take pride in the presentation, quality and consistency of every meal you prepare
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards in line with EHO requirements
• Work as part of a friendly and professional catering team to deliver an efficient service
• Prepare meals for military personnel, ensuring a consistent and enjoyable dining experience
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service
• Support events and special functions, giving you the opportunity to showcase your cooking skills
• Take responsibility for bulk cooking while maintaining high standards across all dishes
