Job summary

Sodexo is recruiting a Cook to join our UK catering team at HP22 5PG. You will prepare high-quality meals in a busy kitchen, support a range of events and functions, and work with a professional front-of-house team to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience as a Chef/Cook in catering or hospitality.
• Recognised culinary qualifications (City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ 2/3).
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and EHO standards.
• Work closely with front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service.
• Cook for military personnel with consistently high standards.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
• Support bulk catering, events and functions, ensuring quality and consistency.

• 40 hours per week

• Shift Patterns : 05:00 - 13:30 and 11:00-19:30

What you'll bring:

• Proven professional experience as a Chef/Cook within a catering or hospitality environment.
• Recognised culinary qualifications, such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure and team-focused environment.
• Passion for cooking, with a commitment to high-quality food and excellent service.
• Desirable: Experience in military/government catering, an IOSH qualification or equivalent, and good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
