Job summary

M&D Care in South and West Wales is seeking a dedicated Cook for our specialist residential service. You will plan and prepare nutritious meals, including special diets, to meet residents' individual needs and preferences.

Working Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm with occasional weekends, you will maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and infection control while supporting staff to align meals with care plans.

Join our passionate team at M&D Care as a Cook in our specialist residential service, and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults and the quality of their environment. At M&D Care, we support individuals with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities, and neurodevelopmental conditions across South and West Wales. As Cook, you’ll work Monday to Friday (9am–5pm) with occasional weekends. You’ll plan and prepare nutritious meals, including special diets, ensuring residents’ individual needs and preferences are met. You’ll maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and infection control. Responsibilities include menu planning, stock ordering, budget management, and kitchen cleanliness.
