Job summary

Mental Health Care Uk Ltd is hiring a Cook for New Hall Care Home with Nursing near Ruabon, Wrexham. The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, with pay between £13.45 and £14.03 per hour depending on experience.

The successful candidate will have kitchen experience, Q2 hygiene certification, and knowledge of special diets including dysphagia and diabetes. The job involves delivering nutritious meals, maintaining hygiene, ordering provisions, and supporting residents with health and dietary needs

Responsibilities

• Support the team and service in the delivery of high quality, healthy and nutritional focused food along with safe hygiene practices.
• Meet all current guidelines and requirements, including relevant recording and documentation.
• Support residents’ health, cultural and religious needs and offer healthy food choices and gather feedback from residents.
• Accurately order food provisions and manage stock to avoid over/under ordering and stay within budget.

As a Cook you will:

• Support the team and service in the delivery of high quality, healthy and nutritional focussed food along with safe hygiene practices.
• You will be required to meet all current guidelines and requirements, including relevant recording and documentation.
• Support residents’ health, cultural and religious needs and offer a healthy choice of foods and encourage feedback from the views of the residents within the service.
• Accurately order food provisions and ensure all stock levels are checked at the time of completing orders to ensure over or under ordering is avoided. This is to keep costs within budgetary requirements whilst maintaining sufficient stock for menus.

New Hall Care Home with Nursing is a community-facing service located near Ruabon in Wrexham, supporting individuals with complex mental health needs. The service offers personalised activity plans, vocational opportunities, and access to local amenities and education, empowering residents to progress toward independent living.
