Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a practical Assembly Technician for our workshop in Slough. You will focus on mechanical assembly of conveyor systems, reading engineering drawings and work instructions to fabricate components.

Hours are 7:30am–4:00pm with holiday pay. The role emphasizes quality, safety and working both independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or workshop environment.
• Able to read engineering drawings and technical instructions.
• Good practical skills and attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Someone who works well both independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fabricate mechanical products and components using engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Work closely with colleagues to meet production deadlines.
• Keep your work area clean, organised, and safe.
• Support other workshop activities when needed.
• Follow all quality and health & safety procedures.
