Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Technician based in Maidenhead, Berkshire. This hands-on role involves assembling engineered components, testing, quality checks and supporting the production and warehouse operation.

You will work as part of a team to ensure accurate assembly, thorough testing and preparation for dispatch in line with quality, safety and operational standards.

• Experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production environments.
• Hands-on and mechanically minded approach.
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset.
• Ability to follow technical drawings and procedures.
• Methodical testing, inspection and troubleshooting.
• Good organisation and workload prioritisation.
• Willingness to learn new products and skills.
• Clear communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or willingness to learn.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test engineered components and products.
• Assemble and modify components per technical instructions.
• Carry out testing to verify specifications on completed assemblies.
• Test and troubleshoot equipment prior to installation.
• Complete final quality checks before dispatch.
• Receive training on new products and processes.
• Follow ISO 9001 quality standards and company procedures.
• Adhere to Health & Safety requirements and PPE protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace.
• Support stock checks and inventory management.
• Assist with orders preparation and dispatch when required.
