Job summary

Proactive Technical Limited is recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a busy manufacturing and warehouse operation in Maidenhead, Berkshire. This hands-on role involves assembling engineered components, testing them, and ensuring quality before dispatch.

You will work as part of a team, following technical instructions and procedures, with training provided and opportunities to develop additional responsibilities over time.

Qualifications

• Hands-on assembly and testing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, drawings and procedures.
• Methodical approach to testing, inspection and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards or willingness to learn.
• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
• Willingness to learn new products and processes.
• Demonstrates teamwork and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test a range of engineered components and products.
• Assemble and modify components per technical instructions and procedures.
• Carry out testing on completed assemblies to verify specifications.
• Test and troubleshoot equipment prior to installation.
• Complete final quality control checks before dispatch.
