Job summary

Yorkshire law firm is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor to join its Residential Property team. The role covers managing a varied caseload from instruction to completion, with the flexibility of hybrid working and a strong emphasis on client service.

You will handle sales, purchases and remortgages, draft and review contracts and documentation, and provide clear legal advice while maintaining high professional standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a strong background in residential conveyancing.
• At least 2 years' PQE in conveyancing.
• Hybrid working and career progression within a residential property team.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own caseload of residential sales, purchases and remortgages
• Handling freehold and leasehold transactions
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, titles and leasehold documentation
• Conducting searches, enquiries and supporting documentation
• Advising clients on all aspects of the conveyancing process
• Managing exchanges, completions and post-completion
• Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other professionals
• Building relationships with clients and referrers
• Guiding and supporting junior team members
• Contributing to the development of the Residential Property department

Are you an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor looking for a new opportunity offering a competitive salary, hybrid working and the chance to develop your career within an established Residential Property team?

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Yorkshire law firm looking to strengthen its Residential Property department with an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor.

This is a varied, client-facing position where you will take responsibility for your own residential conveyancing caseload from initial instruction through to completion, while benefiting from the flexibility of hybrid working.

You will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions, providing clear and practical legal advice while ensuring clients receive a high-quality service throughout their move.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own caseload of residential sales, purchases and remortgages
• Handling freehold and leasehold property transactions
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, titles and leasehold documentation
• Conducting and reviewing searches, enquiries and supporting documentation
• Advising clients on all aspects of the conveyancing process
• Managing transactions through exchange, completion and post-completion
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors and other professionals
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers
• Ensuring files are managed efficiently and in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirementsSupporting and providing guidance to more junior members of the conveyancing team where appropriate
• Contributing to the continued development and success of the Residential Property department

You will be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a strong background in residential conveyancing and ideally at least 2 years' PQE.
