Conveyancing Paralegal
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join our clients team in Liverpool.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and capable conveyancing professional who is comfortable managing their own caseload from initial instruction through to post-completion, with minimal supervision.
You will be responsible for progressing a varied residential conveyancing caseload efficiently and professionally, while delivering a high level of service to clients and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to post-completion.
- Handle matters with minimal supervision, taking ownership of files and ensuring they progress efficiently.
- Deal with sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold transactions.
- Review and prepare legal documentation and contracts.
- Carry out and review property searches and raise and respond to enquiries.
- Liaise confidently with clients, estate agents, solicitors, lenders and other third parties.
- Keep clients regularly updated on the progress of their matter.
- Arrange and coordinate exchange and completion.
- Ensure all post-completion requirements are dealt with accurately and promptly.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive file records.
- Identify and resolve issues proactively, escalating matters where appropriate.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements and relevant conveyancing standards.
- Manage workloads effectively and meet key deadlines.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience working as a Conveyancing Paralegal.
- Demonstrable experience of managing your own caseload from instruction through to post-completion.
- The ability to work confidently with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of the residential conveyancing process.
- Experience handling a varied caseload of property transactions.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to identify issues and find solutions.
- The confidence to communicate directly with clients and third parties.
- The ability to prioritise effectively and work to deadlines in a busy environment.
Desirable
- Experience with both freehold and leasehold transactions.
- Experience dealing with lender requirements and redemption statements.
- Previous experience working within a busy conveyancing department.
- Relevant legal qualifications or a willingness to undertake further professional development.
