Job summary

A1 Personnel in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join a busy residential property team. You will manage your own caseload from instruction through to post-completion, handling sales and purchases with a client-focused approach.

You will work within a team, providing professional, efficient service to clients and liaising with estate agents, lenders and other solicitors to progress transactions smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience managing a conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion.
• Strong knowledge of the residential conveyancing process and sales/purchases involvement.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with ability to prioritise deadlines.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join a busy and successful residential property team in Chelmsford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident conveyancing professional who is comfortable managing their own caseload and is looking for a role where they can take ownership of files from initial instruction right through to post-completion.

The Role

You’ll manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters, providing a professional and efficient service to clients throughout the transaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own caseload from initial instruction through to post-completion
• Handling residential sales and purchases from instruction to completion
• Preparing and reviewing contracts and conveyancing documentation
• Raising and responding to enquiries
• Reviewing searches, title documents and property information
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors
• Keeping clients regularly updated and providing clear, practical advice throughout the transaction
• Managing exchange and completion processes
• Dealing with post-completion matters, including registrations and submission of relevant documentation
• Ensuring files are maintained accurately and in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements
• Managing deadlines effectively and progressing matters proactively
• Providing a high level of client care throughout the conveyancing process

About You

The key requirement for this role is hands-on experience managing your own conveyancing caseload from instruction through to post-completion.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience working as a Conveyancing Paralegal
• Proven experience managing your own caseload independently from instruction to post-completion within Conveyancing
• Strong knowledge of the residential conveyancing process
• Experience dealing with sales and purchases
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A professional and client-focused approach
• Confidence dealing with clients, estate agents, lenders and other legal professionals
• The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team
