Job summary

Law Staff Legal Recruitment is seeking a Conveyancing Lawyer for a Hertfordshire-based firm offering real career progression and a friendly working environment. The role entails handling residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion, with opportunities to mentor junior fee earners.

The ideal candidate is a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with 5+ years’ experience in residential conveyancing, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor of England & Wales, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer or paralegal with 5+ years handling a full range of residential conveyancing matters.
• Strong understanding of conveyancing law and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion (sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity).
• Provide expert legal advice and support to clients on all aspects of the conveyancing process.
• Conduct thorough due diligence, including property searches, title checks, and reviewing contracts.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other parties to ensure smooth, timely transactions.
• Prepare and draft necessary legal documents and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and client communications.
• Mentoring junior fee earners would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities for the Conveyancing Lawyer role -
