Job summary

Our client, a leading UK property developer, seeks a Conveyancing Assistant for a 3-month FTC in their in-house legal team in Northampton. You will support a Conveyancer, Legal Manager and Company Solicitor with plot work, registrations and post-completion tasks.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of residential property experience, familiarity with New Builds/Plot sales is a plus, and strong IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) with case management experience.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of residential property experience.
• Experience with New Builds and Plot sales is desirable.
• Currently working in conveyancing with a view to progression.
• Strong IT skills including Word, Outlook, Excel and case management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with plot work including reservations, engrossments, exchanges, title checks and completions.
• Deal with post-completion matters such as SDLT returns and Land Registration.
• Assist with lease/transfer variation and reversion sales and recovery of retentions.
• Liaise with clients, solicitors and lenders to progress residential transactions.
