Clayton Legal is seeking a Residential Conveyancer for its Harrogate team. You will take ownership of a full residential conveyancing caseload, guiding transactions from instruction to completion and delivering high-quality client care.

The role emphasizes strong organization, proactive communication and teamwork within a supportive, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will handle responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism.

Responsabilidades

• Manage all stages of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion.
• Keep clients informed on progress, costs and timescales with clear advice.
• Ensure files progress accurately and comply with standards.
• Manage billing and time recording for own matters.
• Build relationships with clients, estate agents and professionals to encourage referrals.
• Supervise a Conveyancing Assistant and support their development.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with professional standards including the CQS.

The role

You’ll take ownership of a full residential conveyancing caseload, managing transactions from initial instruction through to legal completion while ensuring clients receive an excellent service at every stage.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion.
• Keeping clients regularly informed about progress, timescales and costs, providing clear and approachable advice throughout.
• Ensuring files are progressed accurately and efficiently, in line with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Managing billing, time recording and financial aspects of your own matters.
• Building strong relationships with clients, estate agents and other professional contacts to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Working closely with colleagues and supervising a Conveyancing Assistant, supporting their development and wellbeing.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant professional standards, including the Conveyancing Quality Scheme requirements.
• Contributing to team meetings, business development activities and a positive, supportive working culture.
