Job summary

A legal recruitment agency seeks an experienced conveyancing fee earner for a full-time, office-based role in Essex. You will manage your own residential caseload, taking ownership from instruction to completion, while building client relationships and supporting business development activities. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years PQE in UK residential conveyancing, with a strong understanding of various transactions and compliance. Location: Essex area

Manage your own caseload with genuine progression

Our client is growing its residential conveyancing team in the Essex area and is looking for an experienced fee earner who enjoys running files end-to-end, building trusted client relationships, and being part of a forward-moving practice. The opportunity

You will join a well-established conveyancing function and take ownership of a varied residential caseload, with the support and infrastructure to deliver a high-quality client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Handling matters from instruction to completion, including:Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Re-mortgages
• Transfers of equity
• Advising clients clearly and proactively throughout the transaction
• Supporting business development activities (relationship building, referrals, local networking where appropriate)

Requirements (skills and experience)

• 3+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in UK residential conveyancing
• Qualified as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
• Proven ability to run a residential caseload with minimal supervision
• Strong technical understanding of:Freehold/leasehold transactions
• Title investigation and reporting
• Exchange/completion processes
• Lender requirements and compliance
• Excellent communication skills (clients, agents, lenders and internal stakeholders)

Desirable (not essential)

• Experience with new build and/or shared ownership matters

Location and working arrangements

• Office-based role in the Essex area
• Full-time, permanent
• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm
