Job summary

CNC Recruitment South West Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a well-established campervan and motorhome specialist in the UK for a Campervan Conversion Technician to join the workshop team in a permanent, full-time role.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in campervan, motorhome or caravan conversions, strong fault-finding abilities, and a customer-focused approach. The role is workshop-based with occasional weekend work and opportunities for progression.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to required standards.
• Be willing to learn new skills as the business grows.
• Support colleagues across the workshop when required.

About the Role

CNC Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing specialist vehicle conversion business, for an enthusiastic and skilled Campervan Conversion Technician to join their workshop team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual with a background in the motorhome, campervan or caravan industry to join a growing business where there is scope to develop your skills and take on additional responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out campervan and vehicle conversion work to a high standard.
• Diagnose, fault-find and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Work as part of a small, friendly and fast-paced workshop team.
• Communicate professionally with customers both face-to-face and over the telephone.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
• Be willing to learn and develop new skills as the business grows.
• Support colleagues across the workshop when required.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working within the campervan, motorhome or caravan industry.
• Practical experience of vehicle conversions and associated installation work.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A positive, hands-on approach to work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new skills and develop within the role.

Desirable Experience

• Previous supervisory or people management experience.
• Experience taking responsibility for workshop tasks or supporting junior team members.

Additional Information

• Occasional weekend working may be required.
• This is a permanent, full-time, workshop-based position.
• Applicants should be comfortable working in a hands-on environment and dealing directly with customers.
