Job summary

Ashby Finance is seeking a Conversion Technician in Oxfordshire to join a specialist aftersales workshop. You will service, repair and install campervan conversions, carrying habitation checks and diagnostics to keep customers’ vehicles roadworthy.

The role is Monday–Friday, with a £32,000 base plus bonus, plus 30 days leave and on-site parking. You’ll work in a friendly, growing team focused on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a vehicle/automotive technician or workshop environment.
• Good mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to complete paperwork accurately.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Campervan Technician or mechanically minded individual who enjoys variety and wants to work in a specialist environment where no two days are quite the same.

What will you be doing?

As a Conversion Technician, you’ll play an important role in keeping our customers’ vehicles safe, reliable and ready for the road.

Your Day-to-day Work Will Include

• Carrying out habitation checks on campervan conversions.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Installing a variety of campervan accessories and equipment.
• Carrying out work to a consistently high standard, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Completing job sheets, paperwork and compliance records accurately.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
• Keeping the workshop clean, safe and well organised.
• Working closely with colleagues to deliver an excellent customer experience.
• Taking a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Supporting the wider aftersales team whenever required.
