Job summary

TGW Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join TGW Northern Europe on the M&S flagship DC project in Daventry. You will lead Level 2 commissioning, sign-off, testing and integration for automated materials handling solutions.

Working with commissioning managers and a team of engineers and technicians, you will develop project software using TGW tools, design control systems when needed, perform software testing and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

NVQ level 3 / City and Guilds Electrical Engineering.
Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens S7).
Experience designing HMIs and SCADA systems.
Strong networking knowledge (Profibus/Profinet/ASI).
Experience in commissioning and testing in an industrial environment.
Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Undertake full Level 2 commissioning including sign off, implementation, testing and integration.
Develop project software using TGW standard tools and architecture with proper version control.
Contribute to the design of control systems when required.
Perform software testing and emulation.
Own the PLC commissioning area and report modifications against project plans.
Identify and rectify software, hardware and electrical faults; mentor junior staff.
