Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Plymouth is seeking a Controls Engineer (Bespoke Machinery) to develop PLC programs, design HMIs and provide SCADA support on turnkey automation projects. You will work primarily in a modern, family-run engineering facility with occasional site visits, using Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs from concept through commissioning for clients worldwide.

Salary is £60,000–£65,000 plus enhanced pension, overtime, and 33 days holiday, with 85% office work and 15%

Qualifications

• Experience as a Controls Engineer or similar.
• Willing to commute to client sites across the UK and abroad.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC programs, upgrade HMIs and provide SCADA support.
• Commission bespoke systems at client sites.
• 85% office based, 15% site based.
