Job summary

Capita is delivering a Training Delivery Instructor - Control Systems role at HMS Collingwood in Portsmouth, offering term time work with pro rata salary. The role focuses on delivering training for Royal Navy Weapon Engineers, combining practical and theory-based teaching, and driving continuous improvement through data analysis.

The successful candidate will guide learners through Phase 3 courses, collaborate with L&D, and support modernised training initiatives within the WE department.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience of maintaining Control systems.
• Desirable: Level 4 teaching certificate or equivalent.
• Military Weapon Engineering Control Systems or equivalent experience.
• Understanding RN WE departmental workings or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training on RN Control Systems.
• Deliver practical and theory-based training.
• Use data to drive continuous improvement in RN training.
• Collaborate to identify personalised learning journeys.
• Communicate needs of Weapons Engineering Training to leadership.
• Support piloting and implementing modernised training courses.
