Job summary
AWD Online are seeking a Control Systems Engineer / PLC Programmer to design, implement and support high‑performance control systems for electrical applications across the UK. You will work closely with project teams, travelling to sites and delivering on-time solutions with robust PLC, HMI/SCADA and control design expertise.
The role requires experience with Allen‑Bradley/Rockwell, Schneider or Siemens PLCs, plus HMI/SCADA tools like Wonderware or FactoryTalk View.
Qualifications
- Higher education qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in industrial automation sector.
- Experience with PLC programming on major platforms.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA software such as Wonderware or FactoryTalk View.
- Strong control system design and development skills.
- Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Profibus or Modbus protocols.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and work in a team.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and support control systems for electrical applications.
- Develop and support PLC solutions across multiple platforms.
- Create and maintain HMI/SCADA software solutions.
- Aid project teams to deliver on time and within budget.
- Travel within the UK for on-site support.
