Job summary

Automation Experts in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design and code PLC/HMI using Rockwell and Siemens, and to design SCADA with Wonderware InTouch. You will install and modify hardware, and liaise with customers on project progress throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires 3+ years leading projects, proficiency with 24VDC/230VAC/415VAC panels, and a willingness to travel the UK and abroad (20%). A valid UK driving licence and passport are essential.

Qualifications

• Formal/technical qualifications in electrical or automation engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' experience leading projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and code PLC/HMI control systems.
• Carry out SCADA software design.
• Modify existing hardware and panels as needed.
• Communicate with customers on project progress.
• Complete testing and installation/commissioning at customer sites.
• Write technical documentation including FDS and manuals.
• Provide customer support, 24/7 and out of hours – not compulsory.
