Job summary

CV Technical is seeking a hands-on Control Systems Engineer to support and enhance the site's control, automation and instrumentation systems in Glasgow. The role reports to the Engineering Manager and involves PLC fault finding, control system development and maintaining electrical documentation.

• 3-5 years' experience in a similar Control Systems/Controls role.
• PLC experience with Siemens, Mitsubishi and/or Omron.
• Knowledge of industrial automation and instrumentation.
• 18th Edition (BS 7671:2018) qualification.
• Manufacturing/industrial experience.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
• Strong electrical fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.

We are looking for a motivated Control Systems Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and improving the site's control, automation and instrumentation systems.

This is a hands-on role involving PLC fault finding, control system development, electrical documentation and continuous improvement, working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams.
