Job summary

Stirling Warrington is recruiting a Control Systems Engineer for an established manufacturing site in Rotherham. The role is project-focused with maintenance support, focusing on automation, PLC systems and production machinery improvements.

You will work on PLC, HMI and SCADA systems, manage electrical and controls projects end-to-end, and collaborate with contractors and suppliers. Occasional overseas travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • HNC, HND or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • Strong electrical and control systems experience.
  • PLC programming experience.
  • Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi experience.
  • Experience with HMI and SCADA systems.
  • Good fault-finding skills.
  • Experience with industrial machinery and automation.
  • Good understanding of electrical systems.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience in a medium or heavy manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

  • Supporting maintenance and production teams
  • Improving machinery, processes and equipment
  • Working with instrumentation and 4-20mA signals
  • Recording work using the site's maintenance system
  • Occasional overseas travel

Salary: £58,000

Shift: Monday - Friday Days
