Job summary

Pioneer Selection in Glasgow is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing site.

The role focuses on electrical and controls fault finding, PLC repairs and modifications, and supporting machine reliability on production lines. You will work days, enjoy a hands-on controls role with scope to develop technical skills and progress within a stable engineering environment. Experience with Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Electrical bias and controls background with fault-finding, repair and modification capabilities.
• Experience with Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs is essential.
• Open to candidates from industrial maintenance backgrounds.
• Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical and controls fault finding across industrial machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing PLC-related faults.
• Fault finding, repairing and modifying Allen Bradley or Mitsubishi PLCs.
• Supporting PLC modifications and improvements.
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Supporting production to minimise downtime.
• Identifying recurring faults and contributing to reliability improvements.
• Working closely with the wider engineering and production teams.
• Candidates from industrial maintenance, manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or similar environments are encouraged to apply.

Job Role of the Controls Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Controls Engineer to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing site in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer with a controls background and strong PLC fault-finding experience, looking to develop their career within a technically advanced industrial environment.

The role is hands-on, focusing on electrical and controls fault finding, PLC repairs and modifications, and supporting the reliability and performance of production machinery.
