Control Systems Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - £60,000 per annum (Dependent on experience, please advise what you're looking for)

Type: Permanent

Location: Near Glasgow

Qualifications & Attributes
  • Be Degree/HND/HNC/NVQ qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • 2 years or more of industry experience working in a similar Electrical Controls role (strong graduates may also be considered)
  • Be confident carrying out the programming of control systems from scratch – e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff
  • Have experience configuring Variable Speed Drives, e.g., ABB, Nidec, etc.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible to travel as needed as part of the role
  • Full driving licence
Role Responsibilities
  • Programming PLC's from scratch
  • Developing HMI and SCADA applications
  • Working closely with Electrical Design Engineers
  • Taking solutions from concept right through to commissioning
  • Delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Configuring Variable Speed Drivers
  • Ensuring company standards are always adhered to
  • Travelling to customer sites as required for commissioning activities
  • Providing remote support for systems
  • Creating the required documentation
