Job summary

CIS Security Ltd is seeking a Control Room Operator for QEOP in East London. You will pro-actively monitor CCTV, coordinate officer attendance for alarms and access control, and maintain strong liaison with park staff and external agencies.

The role requires valid SIA CCTV Licence, strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to manage incidents and crowd situations. 4 on/4 off shifts and a 42-hour week are included.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA DS Licence is desirable.
• Full Driving licence is desirable.
• Experience in the security industry or understanding of licensing.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
• Excellent report-writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Pro-actively monitoring the QEOP CCTV system.
• Monitor and allocate officer attendance to panic & fire alarm activations.
• Monitoring and controlling access to the site.
• Monitor and allocate officer attendance to Parking Enforcement.
• Key Control.
• Responding to requests of CCTV monitoring.
• Health, safety & welfare of security officers.
• Reporting and monitoring incidents within the park.
• Maintaining contact with Security Officers patrolling the QEOP.
• Ensuring the security of QEOP via CCTV and Fire Alarm systems.
• Immediate reporting of faults with CCTV or Fire Alarm Systems.
• Crowd Management and providing solutions.
• Ensure all incidents are logged and managed effectively through to completion.

Job description

The CCTV Operator will provide excellent communication and CCTV skills within the Control Room, which is responsible for supporting and managing all activity in and around the QEOP Olympic Park. You will also provide clear and timely communication to Security Officers, Park management and outside agencies on key incidents that may affect the Olympic Park operation, cause distress to visitors, guests, retailers and park staff.

• Shifts: 4 On 4 Off - Days & Nights

Job Requirements

• Valid SIA CCTV Licence.
• Valid SIA DS Licence is desirable.
• Full Driving licence is desirable.
• Relevant industry experience while not essential is preferred, although it is expected that the candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the unique features of the industry including licensing.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide timely and effective communication to all within the business;Incidents that occur on or affect QEOP.
• News events that affect QEOP operations.
• Update and input of information into the electronic reporting system.
