Job summary

Daval Associates are recruiting a Control Room Operator for a busy Waste Treatment & Renewable Energy facility in Manvers. You will monitor plant and equipment from the control room, respond to operational issues and ensure compliance with health and safety and environmental standards.

In this role you will operate SCADA systems, analyse data, maintain records and support continuous improvement. The shift is 07:00–17:00, Monday to Friday, offering a full-time permanent opportunity with training

Qualifications

• Experience using SCADA in a process plant or similar operational environment.
• Proven track record delivering improvements and hitting KPIs.
• Willingness to undertake relevant internal and external training.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor MBT SCADA/control systems, optimising crane movements, waste placement and throughput.
• Diagnose operational issues and liaise with Engineering to prioritise critical breakdowns.
• Monitor crane performance, downtime and operating data, maintaining accurate records and producing weekly Pareto reports.
• Carry out site fly treatments and review monitoring data in accordance with the site Fly Management Plan.
• Maintain accurate stock control and records of contract and non-contract waste.
• Monitor and respond to fires, alarms and fire-system faults.
• Maintain safe, efficient and compliant site operations, working towards KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and permits.
• Support continuous improvement and implementation of new procedures.
• Carry out light equipment maintenance and deputise for the MBT Supervisor.
