Job summary
Smart Solutions (Recruitment) Limited is seeking a Control Room Operator for a busy Waste Treatment & Renewable Energy Facility in Manvers. You will monitor plant from the control room, respond to operational issues and ensure activities align with health, safety and environmental standards.
The role supports safe operation, routine checks, and collaboration with engineers and maintenance teams. Training and development opportunities are offered, with a 07:00–17:00 day shift and Monday–Friday
Qualifications
- Experience in waste management, recycling, manufacturing or process operations.
- Ability to monitor plant and equipment from a control room.
- Respond to operational issues and follow procedures.
- Commitment to HSE and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports.
Responsibilities
- Monitor facility and plant from control room.
- Operate and control processes per procedures.
- Identify faults, alarms and abnormalities.
- Respond promptly to operational issues and escalate.
- Maintain records, logs and reports.
- Liaise with engineers and maintenance teams to resolve issues.
- Carry out routine checks and inspections of plant and equipment.
- Ensure operations are safe and efficient.
- Follow HSE, environmental and operational procedures.
- Support start-up, shutdown and isolation of plant equipment.
- Communicate performance issues with colleagues and management.
- Assist in maintaining optimum plant efficiency and availability.
