Job summary

Smart Solutions is seeking a Control Room Operator for a busy Waste Treatment & Renewable Energy facility based in Manvers. You will monitor plant and equipment from the control room, respond to operational issues, and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and operational standards.

The role suits candidates with experience in waste management, manufacturing or process operations who want to develop further in theRenewable energy sector.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in control room or process plant environments.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to monitor multiple systems and respond to alarms.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good record-keeping and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facility and equipment from the control room.
• Operate and control processes per procedures.
• Monitor performance and identify faults or alarms.
• Respond to issues and escalate faults as needed.
• Maintain logs and reports accurately.
• Liaise with engineers and maintenance to resolve issues.
• Carry out routine checks of plant and equipment.
• Ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Follow health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Support start-up, shutdown and isolation of plant.
• Communicate performance and issues with colleagues.
• Maintain plant efficiency and availability.
• Report environmental, safety or operational concerns immediately.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
