Job summary

Indaver at the Rivenhall Integrated Waste Management Facility in Essex seeks a Production Operator to coordinate daily production tasks within a 24/7 rota. You will work with the Shift Team Leaders to maintain safe, efficient operations and ensure environmental compliance.

The role emphasizes Safety First, operation within ME Safety Rules, and running the facility to meet throughput and energy export targets while minimising losses and emissions.

Qualifications

• SVQ/HNC/HND in a technical or related field; applicable experience accepted in lieu of qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Integrated Safe System of Work is desirable.
• Knowledge of using computer-based interfaces, ideally with control functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage personal safety measures.
• Monitor and manage the technical and operational safety of the facility.
• Drive a Safety First culture across the facility.
• Operate as an Authorized Person within the Mechanical & Electrical Safety Rules.
• Take actions to ensure safe and environmentally responsible operations.
• Ensure emissions are within prescribed limits.
• Deliver annual production elements: Waste Throughput, Electricity Export & Heat Take-off.
• Manage bunker levels to maximise waste homogeneity and efficient tipping hall operations.
• Ensure compliant and safe residue disposal operations.
• Maintenance and external compliance monitoring per pre-approved plans to minimise losses.
• Identify potential projects and work with the Shift Team Leader to define the business case.
