Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is launching a new distribution site in Burnley and seeks Control Room Administrators to help build a high-performing operation from the ground up. You will coordinate workflow, monitor automation, and support engineers to ensure service levels and deadlines are met.

The role is full-time with a 4-on/4-off pattern, 42 hours per week, on-site in Burnley. A competitive salary, pension, private medical and other perks are included, along with a comprehensive benefits platform.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, transport, planning or control room environment.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong IT skills and confidence using warehouse management systems and operational software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Great communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the operation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and release work through warehouse systems to ensure operational priorities and customer deadlines are achieved.
• Monitor workflow across the operation, proactively identifying bottlenecks and imbalances before they affect performance.
• Monitor automation, conveyors, sortation equipment and control systems, escalating issues to engineering teams when required.
• Maintain strong communication with operational leaders, engineers and support functions throughout the shift.
• Complete system reporting, shift handovers and issue logs to ensure seamless continuity between teams.
