Job summary

Mitie is seeking a dedicated Control Room Operator for day and night split shifts at our Alarm Receiving Centre. You will monitor alarm and CCTV signals across client sites and coordinate with emergency contacts when required.

You must be capable of working rotating shifts, staying calm under pressure, and communicating clearly. Training will be provided, with PSNI check and BS5979/BS7858 screening required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using alarm monitoring systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
• Background check for security clearance.
• A background in security, customer service, or emergency response is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Applicants must have a 5-year checkable history.
• PSNI check per BS5979 and BS7858 screening.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, two alternating shift patterns (6am-6pm and 12pm-12am)

Main Duties:

As an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) Operator within MITIE, your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring incoming alarm and CCTV signals from multiple client sites.
• Contacting emergency services, keyholders, or relevant contacts in the event of an alarm activation.

• Documenting all incidents and actions taken in a clear and concise manner.
