Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in Swindon is seeking a Control Room Operator to join our security team. You will monitor CCTV, intruder and fire alarm panels, support daily operations, and ensure incidents are recorded accurately to outline identified risks.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid CCTV Licence and have a minimum of five years of verifiable education or work history with references, with a strong focus on customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CCTV Licence.
• Experience in control room or security roles preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety for private security operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, intruder and fire alarm panels on a daily basis.
• Assist with daily operational requirements and incident recording.
• Escalate and report Health and Safety concerns; respond to emergencies; produce accurate reports.

We are looking for an organised, efficient, and experienced Control Room Operator to join our security team for Mitie Business Services. You will be working within a supportive team to maintain and monitor CCTV, intruder, and fire alarm panels.

Your key responsibilities will include assisting with daily operational requirements — ensuring compliance and accurate recording of incidents to outline identified risks. As part of your role, you will be required to escape incidents, report Health and Safety concerns, and respond to emergency situations also producing accurate reports to ensure alarms are efficiently responded to.

Our ideal candidate will have awareness of the law across, The Private Security Industry, Health and Safety for the Private Security Operative, Fire Safety, Technology and Systems in the Security environment and Emergency Procedures.

If you have prior control room or security experience, a passion for delivering excellent customer service and a desire to excel, Please note: You MUST hold a valid CCTV License and have a 5-year verifiable education or work history with references.
