Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a reliable CCTV Controller to join our busy team at a Croydon shopping centre. The role offers £15.30 per hour with a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, and an opportunity to contribute to site security and incident response.

You will monitor CCTV systems, respond to emergencies, record detailed handovers, and ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs. A CCTV license is essential, and strong IT skills are required.

Qualifications

• Retail security experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Calm under pressure and able to maintain composure in difficult situations.
• Essential CCTV license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate the site CCTV systems and generate reports.
• Respond to emergencies and liaise with emergency services.
• Prepare reports and handovers, and complete required documentation.
• Understand and report on SLAs, KPIs and the contractual requirements.
• Operate client and Mitie procedures and processes.
• Manage fire alarm tests, monitoring and evacuation procedures.

Better places, thriving communities. We're looking for a reliable CCTV Controller to work at a busy shopping centre in Croydon. The role pays £15.30 per hour with a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern.

Main Duties

• Monitoring and operating the site CCTV systems including associated reports.
• Respond to emergency situations & liaise with emergency services.
• Reporting and associated paperwork & documentation including detailed handovers.
• Knowledge and associated reporting on the contractual agreement, Service Level Agreements (SLA's) & ‘Key Performance Indicators' (KPI's).
• Operating the client and company procedures and processes.
• Managing the fire alarm tests, monitoring & evacuation procedure.
• Attend, represent & actively take part in all required meetings.
• Defect reporting and associated actions and follow ups.
• Maintain the standards of the Security for access / egress and visitor regulation.
• To respond to requests & resolve issues within the agreed SLA time frames.

What We Are Looking For

• Able to work on own initiative.
• Retail Security experience.
• Flexible Approach to work to suit the business needs.
• Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.
• It is important the Security Officer is calm under pressure.
• It is essential that the Operator has CCTV experience.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Be able to work as part of a team as well as an individual.
• It is essential that you have strong system's experience i.e. CCTV, Access Control.
• CCTV License essential
