About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised, and confident Control Room Operations Coordinator to oversee and support security operations across multiple sites. Based within a fast-paced control room environment, you will play a key role in ensuring full operational coverage, coordinating staff deployment, responding to incidents, and maintaining high service standards at all times.

This is a critical operational role suited to someone who thrives under pressure, can make sound decisions quickly, and has strong logistical, organisational and communication skills.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience across security, retail, CCTV, alarm monitoring, facilities, logistics, workforce coordination or other fast-paced operational environments. Previous control room experience is advantageous, but transferable experience and the right attitude are equally important.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee daily control room operations across multiple sites
  • Manage and plan staffing levels, ensuring full shift coverage at all times
  • Cover unfilled shifts, absences, and urgent operational requirements
  • Respond effectively to unplanned staffing or operational issues
  • Monitor booking on/off procedures, check calls, CCTV, mobile patrols, and alarm activations
  • Log, manage, and escale incidents in line with company procedures
  • Produce accurate operational reports and maintain detailed records
  • Liaise professionally with on-site teams, senior management, clients, and external partners
  • Conduct structured shift handovers to maintain operational continuity
  • Support vehicle coordination, key holding, and equipment management
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to operational alerts, incidents and requests
  • Ensure relevant information is accurately recorded and communicated to the appropriate personnel
Skills & Experience Required

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in security, retail, CCTV, technical services, facilities, logistics, transport, scheduling or other operational environments.

Relevant experience may include:
  • Previous experience in a security control room, operations, retail management, facilities, logistics or workforce coordination role
  • Experience monitoring or working with CCTV systems
  • Experience with CCTV installation, maintenance or technical support
  • Experience with alarm systems, monitoring platforms or remote surveillance
  • Experience coordinating staff, shifts, rotas, appointments, engineers, drivers or mobile teams
  • Experience working in a busy retail environment, particularly where responsibility has included security, incident management, staffing or operational coordination
  • Strong organisational and workforce planning skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise in a high-pressure environment
  • Calm, decisive, and solution-focused approach
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Confident using IT systems, monitoring platforms, scheduling tools and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
  • Valid SIA licence (mandatory)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
What We Offer
  • A varied and challenging operational leadership role
  • Supportive management team and professional working environment
  • Opportunities for career development within a growing security business
