Job summary

SP Energy Networks in Prenton is seeking a Control Engineer to manage the distribution network during normal, outage and fault conditions. The role focuses on safety, system integrity and customer service while supporting transition to a Distribution System Operator model.

The position is shift-based within Customer Service, reporting to the Senior Control Engineer, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• HV experience and fault/operational knowledge essential.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or HNC preferred for role.
• Ability to define and document new control processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Control and operation of the distribution network under normal, outage and fault conditions.
• Co-ordinate outage planning and network access with third parties.
• Ensure safety, system integrity and customer service KPIs are met.
• Support operational IT systems and data accuracy.
