Overview

CONTROL ROOM ENGINEER role at Morson Talent. Location: Manchester. Salary: £50,000 - £77,000 + Benefits. Shift work required.

This role places you at the center of monitoring and managing the electricity distribution network that powers millions in the North West. You will make real-time decisions in fault restoration, system control, and outage planning to keep homes, hospitals, schools, and businesses connected.

What you’ll do

• Monitor and manage the electricity distribution network in real-time.
• Lead on restoring customer supply during unplanned faults, restoring supplies safely and efficiently to meet performance targets.
• Perform power system analysis to support safe plant operation, generator output and system security.
• Liaise with internal dispatchers, field engineers, embedded generators, and other DNOs to keep operations smooth.
• Deliver top-tier customer service, especially during incidents, keeping internal teams and customers informed.
• Prioritise safety, following legislation and company codes of practice.
