About the Role:

Type: FTE or Subcontractor

Mode: Hybrid, 3 days onsite

Location: UK - Sheffield

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience designing and architecting Control M solutions with strategic planning skills
• Deep technical expertise in Control M, including plugin integrations and automated testing frameworks
• Broad IT infrastructure knowledge, cybersecurity compliance, and operational resilience understanding
• Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and manage organizational change
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with observability tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, and open telemetry
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
• Relevant certifications such as BMC Certified Associate or Professional in Control M are highly desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive a comprehensive Control M strategy aligned with organizational goals
• Develop and maintain a product roadmap for 1-3 years with priorities and innovations
• Collaborate with the Control M vendor to influence their roadmap based on internal needs
• Engage with stakeholders across departments to gather and prioritize requirements
• Communicate strategy and roadmap through presentations and technical briefings
• Build relationships across teams to ensure successful initiative adoption
• Lead testing strategies, including automated functional and non-functional testing
• Design a proactive monitoring framework using tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, and open telemetry
• Implement automated operational processes to improve efficiency

Feature Innovation & Self-Service Enablement:

• Identify and prioritize new features based on feedback
• Develop self-service tools to enhance user experience and compliance
• Define DevOps strategies, including CI/CD pipelines
• Establish cybersecurity frameworks tailored to Control M environments
