Job summary

Joseph Gallagher Limited, a leading UK civil engineering & tunnelling sub-contractor, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for multiple projects across London and the South of England. You will oversee contract administration, commercial management and project delivery, working with site teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure safe, on-time and within-budget outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Contracts Manager or similar role.
• Experience within tunnelling or civil engineering sector.
• Experience with main contractors, engineers and stakeholders.
• Strong contract administration and project delivery understanding.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience carrying out site surveys.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Administer construction contracts and ensure contractual compliance.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Manage contract variations, change orders and claims.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Monitor project costs and support cost control initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
• Oversee the successful delivery of multiple construction projects.
• Ensure works are completed to programme, budget and quality standards.
• Attend project meetings and drive resolution of issues.
• Maintain robust site records for labour, plant, materials and resources.
