Job summary

Joseph Gallagher Ltd, a leading civil engineering and tunnelling specialist, seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to drive commercial performance on major infrastructure projects across the UK. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will manage costs, contracts and valuations, and support procurement and subcontract management.

The role requires proven surveying experience in civil engineering, NEC contract knowledge, and strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or construction.
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and Change Management.
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Manage project costs and commercial performance from commencement through to final account.
Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontract agreements.
Measure and value works on site and submit valuations.
Manage change, variations, and claims; monitor budgets and cash flow.
Prepare commercial reports for senior management and liaise with project teams.
